CHAIRMAN’S UPDATE: CODE OF PRACTICE

Much of my working life at Japanese Knotweed Solutions has been dedicated to following the Code of Practice for the Management and Eradication of Japanese Knotweed – as written by Mr Trevor Renals of the Environment Agency.

This document has been the ‘bible’ to the eradication industry and much of the good work done in managing this problem is down to the efforts made by Trevor in producing such a valid document.

MINIMISING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF CHEMICAL TREATMENT

Here at Japanese Knotweed Solutions (JKSL) we take our responsibility for the environment seriously. Clients often ask what steps we take to reduce environmental impacts during our spray operations, so I’d like to take the opportunity to share the steps we take to ensure that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum.

ROOT BARRIERS

When managing invasive weeds, Japanese Knotweed Solutions Limited (JKSL) install root barriers in a number of situations. These barriers are most commonly used when excavating and removing Japanese knotweed, but have a variety of applications.
