Established in 2004 by joint managing directors, David Layland and Richard Podmore, Japanese Knotweed Control (JKC) is a pioneering company at the forefront of the invasive weed treatment industry and responsible for introducing the innovative stem injection treatment method into the UK and Europe. With its emphasis on providing cost-effective and ecologically-sound solutions, JKC works for a broad range of commercial customers and has an extensive network of environmental and amenity contacts across both the public and private sectors. As well as stem injection it offers the full range of treatment methods, including fiolia spraying, on-site burial and dig and dump, all tailored to the individual requirements of customers and their sites. Based in Stockport, Cheshire, the company is a founder member of the Invasive Non-Native Species Association (INNSA) and an active member of the Amenity Forum. It is committed to technological advancement, education and training across the treatment industry.
