Launch of the INNSA Code of Practice

The INNSA conference on 30th March 2017 saw the launch of a new document: the INNSA Code of Practice, Managing Japanese Knotweed. This document provides a comprehensive guide to managing this most difficult of weeds, as well as in-depth, up-to-date information on legislation, pesticides and standards relating to the plant and its remediation.

A New Member for INNSA

J A Kent Services (East Midlands) Ltd are the Midlands’ tree surgery, grounds and building maintenance specialists based in Nottingham. Founded in 1976 we are proud to employ local people and like undertaking local work.

Following the INNSA Conference in March, the INNSA secretariat has been primarily occupied in making the final edits to the new Code of Practice for managing Japanese Knotweed and fine tuning the presentation and production of the printed document. The new Code has taken many months to draft with comprehensive input from across the INNSA membership and represents a complete revision to, and replacement of, the old Environment Agency Code.

Annual Conference Report 2017

The third INNSA Conference was held on 30th March at The Riverside Centre in Derby and brought together delegates from all areas of the industry.

Mike Ockenden opened the proceedings with a brief summary of the plan for the day and introduced the Chairman, James Sherwood-Rogers, who explained his role within INNSA and welcomed everyone to the conference.

INNSA Conference - 30th March - BOOK NOW

The Annual INNSA Conference is less than two weeks away and is being held on Thursday 30th March 2017 at The Riverside Centre, Pride Park, Derby.

INNSA will also be launching its new Professional Code of Practice for Japanese Knotweed to replace the Environment Agency CoP which was withdrawn last year.

INNSA Conference - 30th March

The INNSA Conference is being held on Thursday 30th March 2017 at The Riverside Centre, Pride Park, Derby and a variety of industry speakers will be there with updates on the latest issues relating to invasive species.
